MAP / Barometric / Aerodynamics Pressure Transducer

ASLF Barometric/MAP Pressure Transducer / Sensor
ASLF Barometric/MAP Transducer / Sensor

The ASLF series of high performance pressure transducers / sensors have been designed for Barometric and MAP pressures in demanding motorsport and automotive applications.  The construction is of lightweight aluminium and differs from the ASLA as the ASLF has a flange mounting as opposed to a typical threaded sensor.  The flange installs directly onto the surface of inlet manifolds.

Typical applications include: Air Intake - Boost - Barometric - MAP

  • Flange Mounting
  • 1 bar to 5 bar Range
  • Lightweight Construction
  • 5V or 8-16V Supply
  • 0.5V to 4.5V Output
ASMPB Standard Metri-Pack Barbed Pressure Transducer / Sensor
ASMPB Standard Metri-Pack Barbed Pressure Transducer / Sensor

The ASMPB series of  Metri-Pack barbed pressure transducer / sensors offer lightweight aluminium construction with a barb / hose outlet type pressure connection. The electrical connection is a common Metri-Pack 150 connector for direct interchangability with other transducers.

Typical applications include: Air Intake - Boost  - Barometric

  • Barb Pressure Connection
  • 1 bar to 5 bar Range
  • Lightweight Construction
  • 5V or 8-16V Supply
  • Metri-Pack 150 Electrical Connection
KAP Differential Pressure Sensor
KAP Differencial Pressure Transducer

The KAP Series of cost effective high performance pressure transducers have been designed for dynamic pressure measurements using a Pitot tube in demanding motorsport and automotive applications.

The transducers offer a high level of reliability and endurance, they are protected against the high vibration, shock and high temperatures found in motorsport. The sensor is also suitable for wet/wet installations.

The KAP Series are race proven and can be found in many race series around the world.

See the separate datasheet (KAPT) for details of the standard and custom Pitot Tubes that can be supplied.

Typical applications include: Air Speed - Aerodynamics

  • Miniature Size
  • 25, 50, 75 mbar Range
  • Rugged Construction
  • Amplified Output
  • 5V or 8-16V Supply
  • Wet/Wet Applications
KAPT Pitot Tube
KA Sensors KAPT Pitot Tube

A Pitot Tube is used to measure a cars speed relative to the surrounding air.  The assembly is made up of a pair of concentric tubes.  The ellipsoidal nose cone at the tip has a small aperture in the end connected to the inner tube, whilst an annular ring of holes on the outer tube senses the static/surrounding air pressure.  By measuring the difference between the air pressure of the inner and outer tubes (see the KA Sensors KAP Differential Pressure Sensor), the speed of the vehicle can be sensed, measured and calculated.  Whilst a standard sized KAPT is available, a fully bespoke custom service is also available.  See the separate datasheet (KAP) for details of the Differential Pressure Sensor (KAP).
